yes you can. You will have to put one of the new poly plows on. They are lighter, and generly smaller than a normal plow, but they work pretty well. Contact you local plow dealer. Westen, and Fisher both make plows for the Jeep liberty.
I've never seen a Jeep Cherokee with a snow plow and it's weight might go against its use. But I would think you would need to have a custom bumper or bracket/holder assembly made to hold it and it must secure it to the front frame rails.

It is easy to attach a used snow plow to a truck. All one needs to do is to go to home depot or lowes and ask a representative about the directions to install one.
I myself would not do this as the Jeep is a Uni-body construction and if you catch the plow on a curb you could bend the body to a point where the doors will not open.
