If you have a very high output alternator (I'm talking competition alternators of 300 amps or more), it is possible, and you'd typically have to run the positive direct to the starter... trying to jump it through the batteries would produce a lot of resistance and would burn up your jumper cables. However, the amperage required for the starter in a Class 8 truck is typically much greater than what a typical car alternator will produce, so you'd be better off either to hook up, let the car idle to charge the batteries, and start on battery power, or take two cars, have each one hook to the electrical system of the truck, and jump off of a combined 24 volts.

kinetic energy is mass x velocity, so if there are going the same speed, the 18 wheeler.
an 18 wheeler
If it is a twelve volt system yes. If it is a six volt system, it isn't advisable.
Homies is it easier to jump a dirt bike or four wheeler I was thinking four wheeler because of the weight but any help would be good thanks
18 wheeler has the higher gross weight
Eighteen wheeler accidents are so dangerous due to the size of the trucks and the weight the carry in cargo. It takes an eighteen wheeler about 40% longer to stop than it does an average sized car.
on average you need to fuel an 18 wheeler once a day

18 wheeler
An 18 wheeler can legally carry 22 to 25 tons of freight. It puts out significantly less pollution than the amount of passenger cars it would take to transport an equivalent amount.
