There is nothing against that. One Supervisor once said "We can't trust you if you can't trust yourself".

How do you recommend a person on this site?

If someone answered a question for you, you click on THAT question, and you'll see the answer. Below that, you'll see the persons name that answered the question, next to "First answer by". Go to the right, and you'll see "Recommend contributor". Click that. Or you can click on their name, and you'll get their bio page. To the right, you'll see a thumbs up sigh, and next to that you'll see "Recommend". Click on either one.

Why does the new update of the Wikianswers website not have the recommend contributor or question button underneath an answer?

It is part of the new format. The new recommend contributor button is to the top right. You will have to switch it to answers/editors if it is on the supervisor tab and there you will be able to recommend contributors. If there is more than one contributor to an answer, you can use the arrows to see the other contributors and recommend them as well

How do you comment back when someone answers your question on WikiAnswers?

You go to the blue sidebar on the left and you click on "My contributions", that will show you a list of everything you have done. Then you find the question that was answered, [There are time stamps to help you out], and you click on that question. There you will see the answerers name next to "first answered by". Click on their name and you will get their bio page. Once there you will see to the right a picture of an envelope with "message user" next to it. Click on either one and you will get their message board. Or you can go to the very bottom of their bio page and there it is self explanatory. If their answer was helpful or you liked it, you can recommend the contributor. Next to their name you will see, "recommend contributor', click on that and you will be giving them a "trust point". Or you can do the same on their bio page, "recommend" is underneath "message user". People can also give you a trust point.

I am having trouble using WikiAnswers. Can someone please tell me how to use it. It's new for me?

I've only been on WikiAnswers for 2 months, but I'll try. At the top where you ask a question, do not use punctuation. After you ask a question, click GO. You will get options. If none of these answer your question then click SUBMIT. Then choose the best category or categories [ up to three] that your question comes under, then click save. To answer a question, just click on it, in the big box answer it, then click save. At the top underneath the question bar, if you click "Unanswered questions," you'll see the categories. If you click on a category, you'll get questions that fit that category, but if you click the little green arrow to the left, you'll get sub-categories. The message board is mostly for other people to leave you a message, but you can use it to leave yourself a reminder or a note to your self. To go to someones message board, their name will be at the bottom of an answer they gave you, or no matter where you see a persons name, if you click on it, it will take you to that persons bio page. Once there, to the right, you will see a picture of an envelope with "message user" to the right. Click either one and you'll get their message board. Or you can go to the very bottom of their bio page. If a person gives you an answer, and you liked it or it was helpful, you can give them a trust point. Just click "Recommend contributor," or on their bio page, click "Recommend." You can give yourself a trust point if you click "Recommend" on your own bio page. To see if someone answered your question, in the blue sidebar, click "My contributions." That shows all your activity. Find your question and click on it. There are a few ways to get contribution points. You can ask a question, answer a question, Improve a question, Improve an answer, Edit categories, and probably other ways that don't come to mind right now. Just poke around and try things, it's OK to make mistakes, I have. I hope this helped you out. I don't know everything myself. Just have fun with it.
