maybe. ask yourself this - is my backyard flat? does my backyard have adequate shelter, like a shed or a run-in? do i have a small barn or at least somewhere to go to get out of the rain and cold? is my backyard filled with weeds that could be poisonous to my horse? is my backyard filled with trees that could be hazardous in a storm, or produce nuts that could make my horse ill? do i live in a nieghborhood that will even accept a horse? will my land support him?or is it muddy with little grass? will he have company- if not another mini then at least a goat. horses are herd animals- without a conpanion they can become very ill. do i have good Fencing? NEVER do barbed-wire badbadbad also none of that wire that looks like a grid he could catch his hooves in it. a sturdy non splintery wood fence is best. Do wild animals or snakes live around the area?do i have the money to pay for vet and farrier bills? will i rememer my horse's dewormer? can i pay for vaccinations? can i pay to repair any damages that may occur to the fencing or shelters? there is so much more too-but I'm getting bored. horses need a LOT of work, a LOT of love and attention and a LOT of money so just be careful... :)

Can you bond with your horse if other people ride him?

A horse will typically bond with whoever asserts themselves as herd leader and shows them the most kindness or takes the best care of him. If you are a good leader and take proper care of the horse it will bond with you more than anyone else. however if the other person riding the horse seems like a better leader to the horse they might bond with them instead.
