Yes, but it is illegal in someplaces
I have discovered the same problem for my 93 previa lx. One solution to solve that is when you're driving lock your doors, then when leaving manually open and lock it (w. out using the button). If you turned off your motor and locked your doors w. the switch. The car alarm will go off randomly. I'm not sure this would work. but you can try to ask the dealer to remove the alarm. But using my method above, will keep the van from going off =].
It has something to do with your alarm 'accentuator' - contact Toyota about this since it might be a recalled item.
It doesn't. Your rings must be going, or a blow-by. You're lucky the Previa has a back up oil tank unda the hood :)
Look underneth right beside the shaft going to the front
If the alarm is going off, you should press the panic button again. You can also get inside and turn on the car to turn the alarm off.
its possible that their are knots on the tires, bad wheel bearings or u-joints on the driveshaft are going out
The Toyota 4 runner will not start, it sounds like it is going to and it will not, the starter, spark plugs are fine?
It's happening to mine at the moment. I'm going to tighten the fan belt.
When you walk past a burgler alarm without it going off, or you ahck through an alarm system
Disarm the alarm before removing the battery.
First turn the alarm off....then walk out the front/back door. That is how i do it all the time! Its so much simpler than taking the chance of the alarm going off! Dont forget...YOUR CURFEW!
it probably don't have enough electricity current going through it to power it. do you have an amp? if it still won't work then try getting a back up battery.
