It might not be under the carpet. It could be run up in the pilar and up above your head. Good luck.
its usually on the left side of the firewall behind a plastic cover and is tan with a black stripe or its under the passenger side carpet under the dash towards the top of the carpet u just pull the carpet back under the dach and u will see the wire with a connecter when disconnecting it its fine to leave the vehicle running but need to shut off vehicle before pluging back together for this is not good for the computer
For spot cleaning, a good cheap (and organic) alternative is the old fashioned baking soda trick. Dilute cider vinegar 50/50, and (carefully) add baking soda. Apply to dirty spots on your carpet and wipe clean the next day. Works like a charm!
yes carpet is a good insulator.
your odds are pretty good. my house was built in '35 and there was beautiful hardwood underneath the nasty carpet!
A good substitute is putting Arm & Hammer Baking Soda under your arms.
use a wire brush on carpet to loosen moths etc, then a good vacuum cleaner to remove moths and dirt or take carpet out and take to a carwash and clean it then leave to dry properly before replacing
Any kind of cable made of copper is good because of the need for increased conductivity.
Baking soda is a very fine powder. Any good vacuum should do the job fine, but be prepared to replace the bag many times if you have a lot of it to get up. If it's been wet and then stuck to the carpet, just scrape at it with a dull knife to loosen it up off the carpet. Scrape, vacuum, scrape, vacuum, and so on until it's up. Be careful to not damage your carpet by scraping too hard. Blessings! Becky
Yes if it's a good carpet.
For a large area, remove the carpet from the vehicle, clean with a good carpet cleaner, allow to dry thoroughly, reinstall carpet. For a small area, clean with a good carpet cleaner and allow to dry thoroughly.
