Depends, what do you plan to do with it? If you want a cheaper price, go with the Kindle. If you like Apple then use itouch. More games on itouch, but smaller screen. Kindle better for reading and possibly watching videos.
Just got mine today and apparently...........................You Can't ! They removed the feature on Kindle 3 I suppose the argument being you can't adjust the brightness of a piece of paper and the Kindle is trying to replicate just that. The answer is to buy one of those LED reading lights. Amazon sell a leather wallet protector and reading lamp for about £50 ($75) but I bought them on eBay for about £10 ($15)
While the screen sizes are similar, the device sizes are noticeably different. The kindle fire has a thicker screen frame and is easily twice the weight and thickness of a normal kindle. The size difference is likely meant to accommodate for the larger battery needed to power the lit touch screen that the kindle lacks. It's still a relatively small device but resembles a tablet in size more than a kindle does.
the benefit of purchasing a LED screen tv is that you get a better, brighter ,and more vivid colors on your tv for a more realistic feeling
