To make a mirror copy of components in a model, first make a copy of the component, and then flip the copy.

1. Select the component that you want to make a mirror copy of, so that it is all highlighted.
2. Select the Move tool, click the Ctrl/Command key to toggle copy mode, and then drag to make a copy of the selected component.
3. Right-click the copy.
4. On the shortcut menu that is displayed, point to "Flip Along," and then click "Red Axis," "Green Axis," or "Blue Axis."

You could even use the scale tool to mirror the copy. When an object is selected, press "S" on the keyboard or select the Scale tool. Then click and drag one of the handlebars while holding down the Shift key. Drag it to the other side of the component. On the bottom right corner there will be a box giving the value of the scale. When all the values in that box are -1.0, the component is mirrored.
