Ha seriously that's a dumb question......No! that stuff is bad news even on the flex fuel cars
Well...my 1999 Dodge 5.9, Ram 1500, 4x4 has 323,000 miles on it and I use 5-6 gals of E-85 per fill-up....NEVER any engine problems...draw your own conclusions!
no because 2 stroke were invented before e85 came out and the engines cant run on it. Also the oil doesnt mix with it because e85 isn't True gasoline (fossil fuel) that is made to be mixed
Modern engines can run some Ethanol. Modern gasoline engines are now set up to run E10, which is a mixture of 10% ethanol. To use higher percentages like E85, which is 85% Ethanol, engines need appropriate seals, hoses and engine settings (timing, etc.). Vehicles set up to run E85 have been selling for a number of years and are sold as "Flex Fuel" vehicles. Such vehicles have a fuel sensor in the fuel line to monitor the mix of gasoline and ethanol present and adjust the engine appropriately for the fuel being used. Either all gasoline can be used or any mixture of ethanol up to 85% ethanol (E85). Running E85 in a vehicle not set up for this mixture will damage seals and fuel lines.
If you have the Flex Fuel Vehicle ( FFV )
Mix diesel in a gasoline engine and it will stall or run very poorly depending on how much you mixed in. Mix gasoline in a diesel engine and you will have engine damage.
No. Gasoline is an oil product and does not mix with water.
They mix their gasoline with 10% ( E10 ) ethanol and water.
get that gas out of there as much as you can and then fill it with diesel a little regular gas will be ok and is ok to mix with diesel and will actauly clean it a little
No. That will make the fuel more liquid than it needs to be and all in all the gasoline will not work and your gas tank will have to be flushed. Ethanol, or basically corn squeezins is detrimental to any and all plastic and rubber part in your fuel system. the alcohol deteriorates the plastic and rubber seals causing leaks that may lead to a fire. thats where E85 comes in, it's diluted with gas so as to make it undrinkable and cars and trucks that can use E85 have specially designed fuel systems to avoid such a problem.
A 4-cycle engine will mix gasoline with air during the intake stroke at aprox 14.7 (air) to 1 (gasoline) ratio.

Any car can use a 10% mix of Ethanol, but only vehicle labeled FlexFuel can use E85.
These liquids are not miscible.
