Yes! Up on the top let corner of your computer screen, go to Share, (between Text and Window) go down to iTunes, then just wait for it to load.
Yes apps from iTunes can be downloaded to a PC with the iTunes software. They will then need to be synced to a device running iOS to be used.

Export: means To Move out of I-Tunes to like a file on you desktop
If you copy files to iTunes Library, you will have 2 copies of the file on your computer. iTunes can play files that are not in the iTunes Library. It makes a link to them, like an alias. For example, if you download a song, it might be in your downloads folder. If you let iTunes copy it to the iTunes Library, it will be in your downloads folder and your iTunes Library. If you delete the song from the downloads folder, it will still be in your iTunes Library, and iTunes can still play it. If you don't copy it to your iTunes Library, and delete it from the downloads folder, iTunes will not be able to play it. You should set up iTunes so that it takes care of the files the way you wish. Don't try to arrange the files yourself by dragging them or copying them yourself into the iTunes Library folder. If you do that you might not see them in iTunes because the iTunes database has not been updated by iTunes. This is also true if you move files between the iTunes album or artist folders. Let iTunes do it and it will maintain the database and you can play all your music.
I'm making one right now for a MacBook OS X. Download Screenium and you can take film at a time. Heres the serial code to put in after downloading for it to be FREE! SCRE-6244-9816-9804-0096-9962. Next you want to get IMovie OR IMovie HD. They both cost money though... But NEVER listen to the ones that say FREE IMOVIE! Their fake. Next you just add in the scenes you filmed with screenium and you can add music from ITunes Libary. Once done go on YouTube and you can upload it by saving the FINISHED and EDITED video on a folder. It works for me!
export it from imovie, and you can import to imovie from file
The conversion should not have completely gotten rid of the iMovie project that you originally had. Look through your files to see if you still have the iMovie project that you converted to an iDVD project. If you completely converted it, then there's not much else you can do other than trying to see if you can revert it back to an iMovie project.
Yes it can run fine

You should not be downloading music on the internet to drag into iMovie. You should be on Napster or iTunes where you can legally buy the music to drag into iMovie.
If you have updated the iTunes software you will need to open it before iMovie can use it. If this is not the case then the indexing has probably become corrupted. Apple support has a guide to rectifying such situations. (See links below)
No, you cannot put an iMovie on a CD, but you can a DVD if you have the app iDVD. However, if you want to put music on something, then you can do that through iTunes.
if you have a mac, you can just open iMovie and drag a song from your iTunes account into a new movie project. Then you can just find pictures of the album's cover on google images and drag them onto your desktop and then drag them from your desktop onto your iMovie project. Click on the clock icon in the bottom left-hand corner of the picture on iMovie. It should say 4 seconds. Change that to 60 seconds. Repeat with the rest of the pictures until you have the exact time of the song. Example: a song that is 3:24. Get four pictures, drag them onto your desktop, then to your iMovie project on top of the music. Set the duration (time) for the first three pictures 60 seconds. Make the fourth picture 24 seconds.
If it's opening a previous project, just hit the red X button at the corner of the window. It will pop up the selection window for you.
See the Related Link below. It offers information on iMovie features, functions etc.
Once you open Imovie it should be right there just click on it. If not you might have deleted it. There is no way to get it back
