Get a Zune, or, you can put your iPod in disk mode and put songs on it through Windows Explorer. To do this, open iTunes and and connect iPod. Then hit, enable disk mode. Hit ok. Then, go to "My Computer" and there should be an icon with the name of your iPod. Drag your music from iTunes to the Windows Explorer Window with the iPod. In the taskbar, select remove hardware safely and select iPod. When it says ok to disconnect, disconnect your iPod. Plug the iPod into the destination computer computer and open "My Computer". Once again, there should be an icon saying your iPod's name. Select that. All the selected music should be there, and now just drag and drop it into a folder on the destination computer. Either: -Remove the songs from your iTunes library or -Create a playlist and put all of your songs into that one playlist. Then change your iPod settings to not sync all music in your library, but instead only sync selected playlists. You can then delete songs from the playlist but still have them in your iTunes library, and they will therefore not be synced to your iPod

To add songs one can simply drag them from a folder onto the Library portion of the side bar in iTunes. The songs will be converted into the format specified in one's iTunes' preferences. The file menu where it says import file to library and import folder to library can also be used to add media to iTunes.
