how do you tell if a box turtle laid eggs
Absolutely NOT.
Well I have an Eastern Box turtle that laid 3 eggs. But they can lay up to 6. But usually have 3 eggs.
I have two females. The lay eggs about two times a year
The best way to tell if your box turtle is pregnant is by the way she acts. A pregnant box turtle will begin nesting and preparing for her eggs to be laid.
The female box turtle will dig about 5 inches into the ground before laying her 1.5 inch eggs.
generally, for the first few times, the egg will be laid in random places, then as they get into a routine, the hen will lay in the nesting box
they box other turtles to see who gets to keep the baby turtle.
you go to the Little boy by the mail box talk to him and go back to the leaves click on them move them around find his blanket tack it to hem
Leave your parakeet alone . . . she knows what she's doing. Parakeets do not place bedding into their nesting boxes, so your pet is fine.
A desert tortoise mother leaves her young as soon as they are laid She leaves them in a hole to keep them warm so it is best if you take the eggs out and keep them in a warm glass container( often used by scientists). If you can't find one then I suggest having her lay her eggs in a area inside your home like a room where you can control the temp and have the eggs in a box filled with dirt. Keep the eggs in a line never on top of each other. Make sure also that you do a lot of research if you ever want your tortoise to have young. A mother never stays with her young, so you must know that you shouldn't try to introduce the young to her because it might end badly. I hope I helped you a bit.
Eggs are not sold by the box, but the dozen and in California I am paying 4.99 a dozen.
