big hamster feeding (adult)
get a small bowl, fill it half way ( if your big hamster doesn't eat all the food then this is OK because your hamster might be a fussy eater and they will pick out the bits of food they like!
Small hamster feeding (baby)
for a small hamster or a baby hamster such as a Winter White or Russian hamster.
get a small bowl, fill it a quarter of the way like a big hamster if your hamster doesn't eat all the food this is OK!
just put a small bowl in their cage with hamster food, your hamster will most likely stuff all the food it wants in it's pouches then bring it to where it wants to spit it out, and will go there to eat it when it wishes.how much it should eat is questionable. if you have the chex mix kind put about maybe half a cup if you have the forti diet chunky block kind put 4-6 in there everyday or so

You should feed around 10 grams of good quality commercial hamster food twice a day being careful to keep an eye on your pet's weight. If they look like they are getting a bit podgy, you should reduce the amount of the mix you give them.
