the monroes bolt right in and it is easy.
the onboard compressor is at the very front, passenger side (on my '94, anyway) under the battery and windshield washer reservoir.
you may not have to disconnect the compressor, but could instead rig the leveler sensor to always read a high ride, and the compressor wouldn't have to come on to adjust. the sensor is above the rear differential and has a little arm coming down to the axle.
if your compressor is functioning properly you could just hook the monroes up to it and your levelling should work fine
I had a 98 which is the first year of the new body style. Since it has coil springs front and back, the only thing is change the springs to "cargo coil" from Moog and/or put load leveler shocks on the front and/or back. Load leveler shocks are shocks that has a spring over top of the shock. I am not sure Monroe has load levelers any more. Gabriel does. Other than this, I do not know of anything else you can do to firm up the suspension.
There are many sites on the internet that have information on Monroe shocks. I think that your best information regarding the shocks would likely be directly from the Monrow website which is Monroe dot com.
James Monroe
Air shocks allow the vehicle to ride smoother than regular shocks. Also, it helps the car carry greater weight over longer distances than regular shocks.
KYB definitely

I have done this and it works GREAT..!!!!! You just have to adapt your lines to fit the shocks.. Don't be afraid to buy your shocks and install them....as long as you have skills.
