Yes, living with a felon does not change your rights, however, you cannot allow the felon to have access to or control over a firearm.
Additional: Re: possessing the firearm - - you will not be able to keep the weapon in the same home or vehicle or anywhere where the felon could conceivably have access to it. The felon does not have to actually hold the weapon in their hands in order to "possess" it. Just being within the vicinity of it puts them in, what the law terms as, "constructive possession."

∙ 13y agoGenerally not unless special precautions are in place to ensure that the convicted felon cannot gain access. Best to see about keeping them at a friend's house or at a family member's house.

If you're expecting to get gun rights back after a felony conviction, don't hold your breath. In some shall-issue states, it is possible for a convicted felon to get a concealed carry permit. However, it's still a felony for them to own, possess, or be in a situation where they have access to firearms, and the CCW doesn't negate that.
