its easier to pull it from the top just remove some of the coolant hoses and the intake hose and you can manipulate it out in about an hour
pull it off and clean with some carb cleaner

if you pull the air box out then you can get to the starter to change it...found that out after spending more then an hour trying to get it out from the bottom
You can either pull the engine out, or drop the sub-frame. I understand that dropping it is easier.
You have to pull the gauge assy out and the lights are mounted from the rear. Run1
disconnect battery remove wires from starter then three bolts that hold it on bottom side and one that is hard to get to on top
Yeah, I have the same question. My cougar has been sitting for a year now with a dead battery and no way to charge it because the hood latch broke. Anyone? Pull the trim out from around the release, grab onto the cable with pliers and pull.
pull the petcock on the bottom of the radiator. it's either on the feft or the right bottom
Insert the key into the ignition. Push the release/switch button at the bottom of the cylinder, and pull the cylinder out.?æ
There is an oil drain plug on the bottom of the engine, that usually dosent come out. I pull my starter to drain my oil.
bottom of engine 1 bolt pull it out and put the new one in
Unscrew the drain plug, or pull the bottom radiator hose off
