No. A standard shock doesn't lift, it controls the ride. They are not designed to lift and support the weight of a vehicle.
You can pump some shocks, but not all.
I would check brakes, shocks, and powersteering pump. I would check brakes, shocks, and powersteering pump.
Hi, The shocks in the back of the van are "automatic" in that they fill and empty based on the height of the back of the van and a couple of position sensors that are back there. This also assumes that your air pump is installed and working properly. If you have that pump, you should also have an air hose that can attach inside, which is used for filling bicycle tires, rafts, that kind of thing. I believe there is a switch that will turn that pump on manually too. Good Luck, Greg
From the 2006 Odyssey Manual: A is an oil change, 1 is rotate tires and 4 is replace spark plugs, and timing belt. Inspect water pump and valve clearance.
A - replace engine oil 1 - rotate tires 4 - replace spark plugs, timing belt (if needed), inspect water pump and valve clearance.
A= Change the engine oil.1= Rotate tires & check tire pressure and condition of tires. 4= Change spark plugs, replace cam belt (if equipped). Inspect water pump (replace if cam belt is changed) and check valve clearance.
if you have air shocks, they are out of air. ther is a valve right below your license plate. just put air in like you would for your tires with a regular air pump at any gas station.
When you need to inflate the tires.
Something is wrong with the rear air shocks- either it is the shocks them selves or most of the time the air pump... But first check your fuse to the air pump. see owners manual for fuse location.
I had the same problem on my 95 Riviera. I bought a set of air shocks from Autozone and installed them putting the air pressure valve in the trunk out of the way and disconnected the auto system under the car. Now I added some air to the air shocks and it is adjustable by releasing the amount of air according to the ride you like. worked perfectly, and no more pump running constantly. $70.00 for air shocks verses $400.00 for factory pump and original shocks. works great.
Use a bicycle pump only! No more than 6 lbs.
it is under the air filter box under the hood
