Short answer, Yes! I recently downgraded the 18's to 17's on my 2010 Lexus RX350. Then mounted 245/70/17 all around. No rubbing even at full lock.
I just put a set of coopers that size (245/70/17) on my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer with no adjustments. They look great!
