You can physically put nearly any engine (within reason) in any vehicle if you can fabricate mounts and have the proper adapters for attachment to the rest of the power train. Also, the hydraulic, water, engine vacuum and eletrical connections will likely require some modification to make them serviceable.
However, it would be stupid to do so, as there are so many engineering variables that are not considered when simply forcing a engine to fit in a non-accomodating roadframe that the vehicle will never function smoothly or will tend to come apart. These would include engine weight distribution, engine height under hood, center of gravity alteration, engine control module functionality and vibration dampeining to name but a few.
