Don't put the panel on a outside wall. If you do not have a choice put insulation between the panel and the sheating.
To remove the door panel, first remove the screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and put them in a safe place. Then gently pull back on the panel - watch for the retaining clips attached, you will need to keep them intact in order to put the panel back when you are done.
you have to unscrew the panel from the door then carefully pull the panel away from the door and make sure when putting it back in you put all the little plastic joiners in proply
It is not that hard... all you have to do is when you have the new door handle you have to take the door panel off on the inside of the car and reach through the holes and unscrew the bolts to the handle and the door handle should come off and put the new one on and put the screws back on and put the door panel back on. get a flat panel tool or a wonder bar and put in between the door panel and the door and pull toward the inside and you will see that is held by plastic clipsit has to pop out
pull out the outer edges of the door panel. then take out the screw behind the door handle. there are 2 screws under the armrest you need to take out. after all that is done pll door panel towards you and lift up. then take out the four screws around the speaker and put it all back together doin all this in reverse.
First, remove the switch panel by prying it out and disconnecting the electrical?æconnectors. Pry away the trim panel so that you can get to the mechanical workings of the window. Remove the fasteners that hold the regulator to the door and then remove the regulator. Install the new regulator and put the door back together.
This is a general answer for removing door panels on most vehicles. Usually there are some screws that need to be removed. These screws may be tricky to find. Sometimes they are hidden in a carpeted panel. If your vehicle has a carpeted panel, feel along the panel for holes. Screws may also be hidden behind light or reflector covers. These covers usually snap off fairly easily with a flat screwdriver. If your door has a light behind this cover you may need to unplug it or turn the light socket to remove it from the panel. Some vehicles have screws behind a small panel in front of the window space that should snap off fairly easily. You may also have to remove the handle. On some vehicles you have to pull the handle toward yourself and look behind the handle for a screw. If you don't have electric windows, the crank handle will also need to come off. This usually requires a special tool. Screws may also be found along the bottom or side edges of the panel. Once you have all the screws removed, the panel will either need to be pulled upwards and then outwards or only outwards. (make sure your lock lever is pushed down and that you lift over it) If your door has electrical, the plug-ins will have to be unplugged. If you need your controls while working on your door, your control panel should snap out of the door panel and you can plug it in. There should be a plastic 'dust' layer that can be pulled off You may not need to pull the hole layer off. Your door speaker may need to be removed before this plastic. Removing the speaker also gives you more access to the inside of your door. Once you are done working inside your door, reverse all the steps you did. Make sure that you plug everything back in and that everything is put together properly. Make sure that you clean to back of the door where the pastic layer needs to stick. If your panel came of by pulling it forward, the clips may have stayed in the door. If they did, pull them out of the door and back into the spot on the panel they came out of. Put the panel back onto the door. Remember to make sure the lock lever is aimed through the panel. Finally, put all the screws and handles back.
It's a pain, I just did it not even 5 minutes ago, heres how in steps. 1. Remove the 3 screws from the bottom of the door panel. 2. Remove the single screw on the upper left-hand side of the door panel. 3. Using a flathead screwdriver or similar tool, open the compartment underneath the cup behind the window control. Remove both screws. 4. In the middle of the door is the door handle and lock, behind that there is a black piece of plastic, this has to be removed as there is a screw behind it. To remove it, put the screwdriver in between the decorative trim and this black piece on the right hand side. The piece should pop off fairly easy. Remove the screw behind it. 5. Move your hands along the edge of the door panel, and pop out the white plastic connectors. Don't be afraid to use some muscle. Once all the connectors are undone, the door panel should just come off. 6. Don't forget to disconnect the wiring connectors from the door if you plan on moving the panel further than 6 or so inches from the door panel. Hope this helped. Rick
electrical issue
there is a tool you use the pry the panel off then you just put the new one on
Its not easy. I'm off to get mine done professionally... 1. Pop off the inside door handle, pull out the window controller 2. Unscrew the two bolts behind the window controller 3. unscrew the bolts under the door panel 4. pull the door panel off (it will snap off).... (I regret doing that bit) 5. Unplug everything that is holding the door panel to the door frame Then you have to unscrew another panel to get the speakers. and then put it all together again.... Don't give it a go unless you know what you are doing
