If you have all the parts to do so, it probably would work.
Well I would need more info but when it dies the carb if it is a carbed engie could be starving for fuel. It would be best if you posted what year and engine size it is and if it is fuel injected or carbed. when it dies do you still have spark at the plug ect....
The fuel pump for any camaro with Fuel Injection is and will always be in the fuel tank. very few carbed vehicles have a fuel pump in the tank, most have the pump bolted on to the passenger side of the engine block.
i have the same camaro but have a carbed 350 in it. the only way to bypass the security system is to jump two wires on the neutral safety switch attached to the gear selector. ull have to take the whole center console apart. its the top wire on the plug i think its green, and the blue 1. hope that wrks 4 u. wrks 4 me.
Fuel is gonna be youre big issue. Youre truck is fuel injected which has a higher fuel pressure than carburetor. Heres a link to a camaro site on converting from FI to Carbed. http://www.thirdgen.org/carbswap
NO, intake will not fit.
NO, After 1987 everything went to Fuel injection.
Yes. There is a fuel injected engine and a carbed engine.
1987 save for a few carbed motors as options
if its carbed no fuel will squirt from the jets. if its throttle body no fuel will squirt from the injectors.
in the gas tank if it is throttle body, under the driverside door on the frame if carbed
google it but no they dont have a carp they are fuel injected unless someone wanted to waste their time to drop a carbed engine in it
84 it should be carbed, its should be mounted on the side of your motor somewhere towards the front. just follow your fuel line down from your carb, and it should go to a filter then your pump, they are typically mechanical, I bet you were looking for an electrical pump. but its probably just an engine driven one. it all depends on what engine you have.
