Can you put more than one short haired hamsters in the same cage without them fighting?
Two hamsters sharing a cage is not recommended unless they're dwarf boy hamsters as they will quite certainly fight to the death and then the hamster that won will eat it, so, No-not a good idea!
well female long haired hamsters r pretty much the same as male and female short haired hamsters. male long haired hamsters tend to grow very long hair instead of female long haired hamsters. so male long haired hamsters are not really similar 2 short haired hamsters but females are.
long haired syrian hamsters have long hair... short haired syrian hamsters have short hair
No, all Russian Dwarf Hamsters are short-haired.
dwarf hamsters, longed haired, short haired... that's all i got, but dwarf hamsters are the cutest :3
Of course they can! Hair length doesnt make a difference
No more than short haired. It depends on the individual.
my short haired hamster is about 4" when its not stretched out!=) when she is stretched out she is about say 6"=) hope this helps!
A long haired hamster, also known as a syrian hamster, can grow up to 5-6 inches. Even though they have longer and messier coats types than a short haired hamster, a long haired hamster does not grow bigger in size than a short haired. Long haired hamsters reach their full size a within a year after birth.
It can vary around in the single digits but most Shorthaired Hamsters get 6-7 in.
It doesn't matter if there long haired, short haired, dwarf or what ever they can bite when angry or if your hands smell of food.
All hamsters have tails, however the tail of a Syrian hamster is short, and might be hidden if the hamster is a long-haired one.
All Dwarf hamster are short-haired. The Russian Dwarf, Winter White, Chinese Dwarf, Roborovski's dwarf, etc. The long-haired hamsters are Syrians.
hamsters tend to smell more if they have long hair so it would be better to go for a short haired hamster if you are thinking about getting one
No, hamsters are generally strictly solitary. Putting them with another hamster will be stressful, they will fight, and one may be killed.
You should never let a hamster eat any kind of citrus fruits.
Yes, you can get long haired and short haired guinea pigs which will grow up to 10-14 inches long while hamsters will grow up to 14 centimetres long.
Yes, but only if they are the same breed of hamster. Ex...Two short haired can stay in the same cage...two long haired can stay in the same cage.
If you have a short haired hamster you wouldn't have to deal with knots in the hair, a long haired hamster has long hair that you would have to brush everyday. I have a hamster with extremely long hair and i brush everyday. That what keeps knots out of the hair. It also makes it soft. DO NOT CUT ITS HAIR, unless it is used to your hand and will stay very still. If you… Read More
Not if you dont want babies and, if you do seperate the pups, bacause the father hamsters always kill or even eat the pups because he doesnt want them.
Technically they only live in captivity, and never have lived in the wild due to natural causes. Teddy bear hamsters were selectively bred from ordinary short haired hamsters with unusually long coats, so probably originated from labs.
It all depends on the genetics in the hamster's parents. It one of the parents are long hair, and one hamster is short hair, the babies could be either long hair or short hair, depending on what the parent's genetics of the male are. If one of the grandparents were long hair, and the other short hair, then there is a equal possibility of both long hair, and short hair.
If you have a short haired hamster like a Syrian then it cleans itself. If your hamster is long haired then you have to brush it depending on the length and thickness of its hair. Never bathe your hamster, they hate water and lick themselves to keep clean anyway.
They're diet consists of sunflower seeds, alfalfa, corn, etc. For more information, click the link below.
Pugs are short haired dogs but they do moult a lot :)
Teddy bear hamsters are Syrian, so don't put them in the same cage. But I have both types, boy and girl. They get along perfectly (though not in the same cage). Every hamster's personality is different. In the same cage- it may result in fighting and death. So be careful!
depending on your hamster, some hamsters do need to be brushed. long haired hamsters such as teddy bear hamsters need to be brushed at least a few time a week. if they have really long hair its good to brush then everyday or every other day. on the other hand, dwarf hamsters do not need to be brushed because they have short hair but you could bush them if you wanted too.
I would suggest a regular Syrian (Golden) short hair hamster for children. Long haired hamsters have more responsibilities, and need lots of grooming. Yourhamster would probably have to be short haired. It would also help if your hamster were young when you first got it, so that it could become used to your child easier, and quicker. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask the hamster expert, haha!
World: 100,000 long haired 90-100,000 short haired USA: 23,000 long haired 25,000 short haired
youre not even supposed to put male hamsters together. they end up killing each other. dominance!
Yes, Labrador retriever's are short haired.
It really depends on how healthy the hair is because just pretend you have one short haired dog and one long haired dog and i have one short haired dog and one long haired dog. You take GREAT care of the long haired dogs fur and not as good care of the short haired dogs fur and i am just the opposite. My short haired dogs fur will be stronger than my long haired dogs… Read More
yes they can, although if u have a small hamster like how i have a dwarf hamster they prefer baby carrots a believe me they love them but remeber its all about the breed u have
No, unless one of the short haired dachshund had a long haired parent.
All hamsters have teeth that never stop growing, no matter what breed. Syrian (aka short-haired/ teddy bear) hamsters will use their teeth the least if you know what I mean. They hardly ever bite their owners, or others. Remember to buy chew toys and "teethers" so your hamsters teeth don't get too long! Thanks and happy hamster owning(;
Short, very much like a lion's. Mainly short hair alright.
its not just short haired cats its lots of cats most cats wants attention and love but short haired cats might need the warmth
What percentage will have short hair if you cross a short haired guinea pig and a long haired guinea pig?
50 % out of hundred. Some babies may come out long haired and some short.
Well, there isn't one main cross. Two guinea pigs I had (one was short haired and the other one was long haired) gave birth to three guinea pigs. Two were short haired and the other was long haired. Hope I helped!
German Pointer (Short-haired and Wire-haired.) Shnauzer (Giant, Standard and Minature) Dachshund (Standard, Minature and Toy. Short-haired, Long-haired and Wire-haired) Dobermann Pincher German Shepherd
No they don't because I have a Westie and he is short haired but doesn't shed.
who is the short haired brunette in the verizon wireless commercial
Yes. I see why you're confused, though.
There are both long-haired and short-haired chihuahuas, so both.
Short haired and Long haired.
The puppies would either be long haired or short haired, nothing to special there ;) but I must say that they would undoubtedly cute :P
Purebred Boxers and Doberman Pinschers are short haired dogs. If these breeds are anything but short haired, they are mixed with another breed.
Please don't do that ( I think they're Syrian hamsters ). They will end up fighting and may even kill each other. For your hamsters sake please don't do it.
there are three types of dachshunds the more common Short-haired, and the less popular Long haired And Wire-haired versions
the difference is that long haired cats have more and bigger hair balls so it's harder to comb and that short haried cats have short hair and is easier to comb
Hamsters are generally small, furry animals with normally soft fur, pink paws, slightly rounded body, beady eyes, (but in a cute way) and a very short, very stubby tail. Depending on the species of hamsters the colors can range from white to black to golden to multicolored. The most common species of pet hamsters are Syrian hamsters whicj includes Short-Haired Hamsters, and Fancy Hamsters. Their teeth never stop growing, so they need wooden sticks or… Read More
