yes , the rocks or stones wont bother them , well if there breeding i would leave them alone until there done , [which takes 1-2 days and mayb even 1 week] that way u dont disturb them and make it take longer!!!
You can do one of three things. 1. Leave the pregnant fish alone in the main tank and just let the pregnancy happen. They baby fish will probably find hiding places themselves. 2. Get a breeding tank. Leave the pregnant fish in the main tank and then when you see a fry, net it, and put it in the breeding tank. 3. Get a breeding tank and put the pregnant fish in it and just leave it. Whenever the pregnancy is over, put the pregnant fish in the main tank but leave the fry in breeding tank.
A breeding net is a small mesh enclosure that you can put into your main tank to separate off one or more fish. You can find them online at www.bigalsonline.com
to breed bettas you will need several different tanks. you will need a breeding tank. a female tank and a male tank. then you will need tanks to put the male babies in once they get old enough to start attacking each other. i suggest you put 3 females in the breeding tank with the male. once the male breeds with one of the females romove all the females. then once the babys are swimming freely all over the tank with out the male trying to put them back in the bubble nest remove the male. and put him in a separate tank from the females. then once you can tell the genders of the fish put all the males in their own tanks and you can leave the females in the breeding tank intill your ready to find homes for them. if you cannot tell the males apart from the females then you can separate all the fish and put them in their own tanks. the tanks can be 1 or 2 gallons for 1 fish i would make the females tank 15 gallons and the males 5 gallons and the breeding tank about 55 gallons.

It's best to only put male and female betta fish in the same tank/bowl if you are breeding them. If they are not breeding and they still stay in the same area, the male would most likely attack the female, so keep the female away! Also, if you are breeding betta fish, make sure to remove the female betta after she lays her eggs, as the male will care for them and chase the female away.
Gold is an inert metal (not dangerous to fish). You can put it into a fish tank if you choose too.
