It's possible IF you know what you are doing and do it correctly [safely].
IF it's not done properly, then there is a very high probability that the entire wiring system could be RUINED, and a FIRE created which could totally destroy the vehicle.
To do this properly, the entire "new"headlight wiring portion would have to be TOTALLY isolated [disconnected] from ALL of the existing wiring system. Otherwise you could create a "misswiring" that could damage the rest of the systems.
Since you have to ask this question, I suspect that you are NOT qualified to safely accomplish this modification.
I therefore stress that this project must be done by a qualified Automotive Electrical Technician!!!!!
They as designed to "dim" when headlights are on to reduce "glare" try adjusting dash dimmer switch
Yes.
under the dash is a toggle switch that was installed with the alarm, *under the drivers side of the dash you need to put the key in turn it forward not on but forward and turn the toggle switch the other way, if no toggle do the same with the key and hold the alarm button down on the dash, sometimes the light that flashes is a switch....

why do you want to toggle a brake light? You sneaking in and out of your girl friends driveway and dont want her dad to see or the neighbors?
Stop the car in a safe place at night. Put the car into neutral and apply the handbrake. Switch on the headlights. Get out of the car and look to see that the headlights are working.
The electrical connections were marginal, then you put in a good switch which allowed everything else to work good, so now you have a good connection.
A computer board went on my 2001, (1000 bucks! Yikes) but the mechanic by passed it and put a toggle switch on the console for 50 bucks. Shift into 4wd hold toggle switch for a few seconds and away we go in 4wd.
Yes, you can replace the key with a switch/button combination. The key is mainly there as a anti-theft feature.
For flashing headlights just put a new one in.
The headlights go up and down when you turn the headlights on. If they are not going up or down they may be disconnected from the motor. You would have to take the headlights out to see if they are disconnected or not.
