No. More than one dwarf hamster can live together, but different breeds, out of need for their own territory) may try and kill each other. there is a -15% chance they may get along, but unless you want 2 hamster carcasses, I sugest you separate them. I have a teddy bear hamster, and she isn't very territorial (playdates) but isn't exactly happy with other hamsters in her cage. I suggest, personally, that you just get a regular or teddy bear hamster. Beacuse of the small size of dwarf hamsters, buying cages are harder problems( I suggest habitrail) and if tey get lost, unless you are lucky, you can kiss them goodbye!

Hope this helps!!!!!

You can keep multiple hamsters in one cage as long as they are not aggressive to one another. If the hamsters are the same sex, litter mates, or have grown up together, then they should not have any problems.

Well, hamsters really should not be put in a cage with other hamsters as they fight with each other

There is 2 female hamsters at the pet store and I want both of them Can I keep them in the same cage?

No because if you put them in the same cage they will fight with each other. It is best if you keep one in each cage. Unless they are dwarf hamsters. Than you can put them in the same cage.

Should you put two dwarf hamsters in the same cage?

If they are Roborofskis or Winter Whites, then the answer is a definite yes. These dwarf hamsters are very social, and require the company of at least one of their own kind. However, do not put two different species of dwarf hamsters in the same cage. They will fight. Also, unless you intend to breed, only put hamsters of the same gender in one cage, or else you'll have a hamster population explosion! Also, do not put a Syrian with a dwarf hamster.

Can you put teddy bear hamsters in the same cage without fighting?

No, syrian hamsters are solitary, and will fight if put together.

Can you put two syrian hamsters in the same cage Should you get another one of the same sex or opposite?

Syrian hamsters should never be put in the same cage- they will fight , sometimes till the death. If you want to breed them, you should ask a breeder or pet shop etc., never just put two hamsters of the opposite sex in the same cage.

Can sugar gliders and hamsters stay in the same cage?

I really suggest you don't( they could fight , or worse kill each other) I don't believe they can mate so if you do put them in the same cage don't expect babies... Species such as sugar gliders, which are marsupials, and hamsters, which are rodents, should never be mixed in the same cage. Their diet, behaviours and needs are vastly different.

Can you put a gerbil and a hamster in the same cage?

No, never do this. Hamsters are solitary, and it may attack the gerbil.

Will dwarf hamsters fight if you put them in the same cage?

Can you have 2 boy dwarf hamsters stay in the same cage?

Word of advice, NEVER put two boy hamsters in the same cage. Just putting two in separate cages next to each other can be dangerous.

Can you put a teddy bear hamster with a short haired hamster?

Teddy bear hamsters are Syrian, so don't put them in the same cage. But I have both types, boy and girl. They get along perfectly (though not in the same cage). Every hamster's personality is different. In the same cage- it may result in fighting and death. So be careful!
