Word of advice, NEVER put two boy hamsters in the same cage. Just putting two in separate cages next to each other can be dangerous.
Yes, I have 2. They get along fine. However 2 of the same breed might not get along very well. You may want to get a Boy and a girl. But make sure they're not together all the time, otherwise, the female hamster will get pregnant. If 2 hamsters are together you should always keep supervision over them. How this helped!
Yes, the babies will die if you take them away from the mother. They need her to nurse them and keep them warm. There is a small chance that the mother will kill the babies if she is stressed. Keep the cage somewhere without a lot of noise or traffic. Do not mess with the mom or the babies outside of regular maintenance until the babies eyes are open, and they are able to get around a bit on their own.
If its a boy its three weeks but girls can in the same cage.
A coop or pen or cage.
Leave them alone. The mother will take care of her babies. You should not touch the cage, mother or babies for at least 2 weeks. Give the babies and mother nutritious foods. and wait till they are 14 days old to pick them up.Take any other hamsters out of the cage and give her access to bedding so she can make a proper nest.
No teddy hamsters and dwarf hamsters cant stay together
if its a dwarf it can escape unless it's in a glass cage
YES,they can but they should be treated nicely
most should my hamster had a baby and all of them lived
no because you will get a nasty thing death and both of them will not be friendlysy73yuhn
It depends on the species. The female may be aggressive towards the male and the male will stay away or they'll fight, but with Russian dwarf hamsters the father will help.
they they can stay with their father
Yes, if they are in the same cage at the pet store. They would usually get along, then.
I really suggest you don't( they could fight , or worse kill each other) I don't believe they can mate so if you do put them in the same cage don't expect babies... Species such as sugar gliders, which are marsupials, and hamsters, which are rodents, should never be mixed in the same cage. Their diet, behaviours and needs are vastly different.
Yes, but they will mate, and you'll get a lot more dwarf hamsters.
No! the mother will kill them! no, because they might fight or injure each other. hope i helped:)
No! They need to stay with the mother until they are weaned at about 21 days (for dwarf hamsters) and 28 days for syrian's. They need that time with their mothers.
