Yes one can certainly leave their own clan and join it back . Though there is a drawback to it i.e you won't be clan leader any more . also you would have to request to get into the clan if the clan is "invite only" type .

∙ 10y agoinstead join "The Elder Clan" (has a blue and white shield) with only 20 people they donate you decent troops in less than 5 minutes. They will never kick you out and promote you if you are active GREAT CLAN!!!
