An car with a turbo installed.
Remove the oil line from the Turbo. Remove the temperature sensor from the Turbo. Remove the Turbo retaining nuts. Replace the old Turbo gasket with a new gasket. Reverse the process to install the new Turbo.
Remove the intercooler and Y pipe. Undo the turbo intake pipe. Jack the car up and undo the turbo downpipe. Sould be about 4 screws on the downpipe at a size of 15-16mm. Remove the turbo heat shield and any pipework going from the turbo to the engine. Then remove the bolts that connect the turbo to the block, should be 2 or 3 screws at size 15. Then the turbo should pull apart. Use penetrating fluid as the bolts weld themself to the turbo due to the heat.
Yes. It can be installed to your car without having a turbo. Your car will operate the same whether you have a turbo installed or not.
Buy a turbo
yes but you wil need good mechanical knowledge as you would need to do more than just remove the turbo and exhaust manifold the look up what is needed to turbo a car and thing of the process in reverse you wold need to remap the ECU remove turbo, the exaust piping would be changed to turn it in a non turbo and heaps or parts removed and replaced with non turbo parts i would not advise anyone to turn a turbo in to a non turbo as you can have presure issues with the engine and ECU remaping can be hit and miss
No its quite simple, standing in front of the car looking into the engine bay look DOWN and you will see the exhaust manifold/turbo (mostly covered by a head shield...) remove the heat shield if need be. Now 4 bolts 14mm hold the turbo onto the manifold and 2 bolts 14 or 17mm i cant rememeber hold the turbo and O2 housing to the downpipe. Remove the intake and intercooler pipes and WA-LAH out comes the turbo!
How to remove turbo on 200 cummins ISX
if your eclipse is the gts( turboed model) then have the work is already done for you. in a after market turbo kit it should come with everything that your turbo kit already has just newer and better performance, but if the turbo kit is for your car its cake, replace the turbo with the new one, change out the oil feed, and oil return lines, remove all the rubber piping and replace with the new turbo pipeing. might have to remove your front bumper to install the new intercooler
