Yes, with a certain iOS update (not sure which one perhaps 3.0) you could access videos from itunes on your iPod Touch (this includes renting movies). Of course, there was the alternate method, in which you rent it from your computer and then sync it to the iPod. Unsure of this, but you may have to have beyond a certain generation of iPod.
