To my knowlege the spider fuel injector system came out in the 96 models. 1995 still had the throttle body injection.
Removing the upper intake manifold will gain access to the "spider". It is not necessary to replace the complete "spider" if there is only one bad injector. Each injector and the pressure regulator are replaceable.
The 95 models did not have the spider on them. It was a TBI / Throttle body injection system. If your engine is a vortec, Then no it can't be cleaned.
If you have CFI (Central Fuel Injection) the "spider" would be found under the upper intake manifold. The upper intake manifold has to be removed to gain access. If you have TBI (Throttle Body Injection) it doesn't have a "spider".
Not sure what motor you have but the 4.3 L vorteck has a spider injector underneath the intake so pull off the manifold to locate the injector. Its like 2 or 300 dollars to replace but a common problem for that year blazer
When it gives you trouble otherwise, leave it alone.
pull off the upper intake plenum the injector unit sits down inside disconnect injector feed line from regulater(good time to replace that to) unplug the (spider) from the ports install new one
It is located under the upper intake manifold. It is attached to the "spider" (bank of injector poppets).
1992 spider 4.3 was equipped with CPI ( Central Port Fuel Injection ). This system had one centrally located fuel injector distribute fuel to six hoses each with a poppet valve to each of the intake ports.
It has a spider injector system which also has a regulator.
name of a differential gear. Also, engines with CPI (Central Port Injection), the bank of fuel injector poppets that are under the upper intake manifold are commonly called the "spider".
weak fuel pump or fuel lines leaking under intake penilum or fuel regulator or injection unit (spider itself) and or plugged injector tubes. (94 safari 4.3 CPI injection)
