Can your 2004 Kia Optima burn ethanol?

If there isn't a sticker on or near the gas cap that says E85, or flex fuel it is not recommended to run E85. A 10% mixture that is sold at most gas pumps is ok.

Can you use ethanol gas in a 1996 ford winstar?

It's designed to run on " regular " unleaded gas - 87 octane . The gasoline can have a maximum of 10 % ethanol ( If you mean E 85 - NO ! )

Is ethanol gas bad for a 99 suburban?

From what I've heard, if your vehicle was not designed to run on ethanol, don't put it in the tank. Ethanol is a type of alcohol, and will corrode fuel lines, fuel injectors and cause a number of problems. 99, suburban....I'd use regular gas to be safe

What type of gas does the Murray Ultra F2250-030 use?

Regular pump gas. I like to add some Gumout and Stabil to all the gas I run in my small engines. And always remember to run your engines dry and/or shut off the fuel supply at the end of the season- gas with ethanol (most pumps have up to 10% ethanol) will clog up your carburetor if it sits.

What happens when you put ethenol gas in a 1999 mercury villager?

What does a engine run like when you get water in the gas?

Usually it doesn't run at all once much water gets in the gas. Sometimes it'll spit and sputter and stall and have a pronounced power loss. If your gas has ethanol in it, it can have dissolved water as well as the usual undissolved sort. Dissolved water in the gas just makes it run artificially lean.

Had a flex fuel motor in your 99 ford ranger put in 3.0 non flex fuel and it is dumping gas through the muffler?

FlexFuel means you can run both gasoline and ethanol in the vehicle. Ethanol is corrosive so the fuel system has to be plastics to not corrode in contact with ethanol.

Why is ethanol being shoved down your throats it does not work for any engine?

10% ethanol is added to help both emmissions and stretch the gasoline supply further. BUT if you go to Tennessee you have a choice of 100% gasoline or the 10% ethanol mix, i have found the gas mileage actually improves on 100% gas and seems to run a little smoother.I was quite surprised myself.

What fuel for Polaris sportsman?

It really depends on the engine. You shouldn't use ethanol mixed gas in any of them, but really the only one that will give you troubles is the 850. The 850 is very picky about fuel, and poor fuel can make it stumble and not run at all. Run only high-octane, non-ethanol fuel in an 850. The older 500 and 800 engines will run fine on pretty much any pump gas.
