The usual reason for wanting three phase power is because of a large power requirement. Batteries are unsuitable for this. For lower power A.C. applications a battery can be used to supply an inverter which gives a single phase output.
Three phase or two phase? Three phase requires three large wires for the current needed
Some cars, mircowaves, computers, toasters, hair dryers, cell phones. People wonder how cell phones run on electricity it's because the battery inside the cell phone is powered by electricity. Without electricity the battery would die out after a while.
The conductors of any three phase circuit must be run in the same conduit. If the circuit requires a neutral, it must also run with the conductors in the same conduit. (If they were to be run in more than one conduit or raceway, the circuit would not operate properly.)
In the US, the National Electrical Code (NEC) will allow you to install single phase and three phase systems in the same conduit.
Use only one of the legs (L1-L3), and the neutral. Some three phase circuits don't have a neutral. If that is the case, then you cannot run single phase.CommentYou don't need a neutral, providing the voltage is appropriate, you can get a single-phase supply by connecting the load between any two lines.
Three phase electricity is used instead of single phase for industrial situations. Industries use three phase electricity instead of single phase to operate electric motors driving heavy machinery. Three phase electrical motors produce more power from the same amount of electricity and maintain steadier speed. Small portable motors such as drills and mixers use single phase. Motors used around the house are single phase. Motors used to run large industrial machines use three phase.
It must be a three phase supply service to run a three phase motor.

Sewing needles are electrically conductive, so electricity CAN run through them, but unless they are connected to something like a battery, electricity does not run through them.
The difference between a single phase and a three phase motor is the amount of power conductors that feed the device. As to the other part of the question a three phase motor will not start or run on single phase. The phase angles on three phase are 120 degrees apart on a single phase system they are 180 degrees apart.
Some can be, and some are run by electricity. They all run on electricity. But some run on DC battery voltage and some run on AC household voltage. Some can even run on DC or AC voltage. All automobile radios run on DC battery voltage.
motorcycles use a magnet system to generate electricity for the spark plugs they cannot run without electricity because you need electricity to ignite the gasoline but they can run with no battery if you have a kickstart or you can bump start them
Houses generally run on single phase power. It would not make sense to convert single phase to three phase to run a house. Please restate the question.
They run a gas powered motor which charges a battery.
Yes the minimum voltage of an 115vac 400 Hz 3 phase motor will run. You can run a single phase motor on a three service but you cannot be run on a single phase.
The electric shaver appears to be capapble of operating on both mains electricity and the internal battery. Mains electricity will keep the battery recharged but if you use the battery to run the shaver then soon or latter the battery will run out of elctricity. Battery Low means No Working Shaver.
to make it spark to itnight the gas To provide stored electricity for the vehicle. No electricity, then the vehicle will not run.
