I believe it is a YES, because I've already checked on the wiki. OCG rulings states that if it is destroyed by battle then it CANNOT return to the owner's hand" so I'm assuming otherwise that if it is not destroyed by battle then it could be returned. Hope this helps! :)
No, the normal result of battle applies first, then the effect. Monsters considered destroyed by battle are not actually sent to the graveyard until the end of the Damage Step, this is after any flip effects have resolved. So Penguin Soldier is actually still on the field when his flip effect activates. However, monsters considered destroyed by battle can not be affected by effects that try to return them to hand or deck. Penguin Soldier will be unable to choose himself as a monster to return, unless he survived Damage Calculation.
yes they can because penguin soldier doesn't say that you can only make monsters go back to your opponents hand it says "FLIP: You can return up to 2 Monster Cards from the FIELDto the owner's hand" it states the whole field not just your opponents side of the field. another monster like that is hane-hane
Gemini Monsters are treated as Normal monsters in the graveyard, they therefore do classify as 'non-effect' monsters and can be added to your hand using Backup Soldier.
Mist Valley Soldier must survive the battle, for it to be able to activate its effect. If it was destroyed by battle, it will not activate and will not return the other monster to hand.
Th special forces soldier which is trained will beat the street fighter in hand to hand combat but if the soldier is a wimp the street fighter will win.
If a face down monster is attacked, then it is flipped for damage calculation, if you flip summon, you do it by choice during your turn. Flip counts for both. For Flip cards like penguin soldier, if it is face down and your opponent attacks it, the effect is activated. For Flip Summon cards like swarm of scarabs, if it is face down and your opponent attacks it, the effect is NOT activated. Both types are activated if you flip summon it. (Also flip activates after damage calculation if you are attacked, so if penguin soldier would be destroyed by the attack, he can't return himself to your hand because he is already destroyed)
Master Hand
A soldier who is physically unable to salute with his or her right hand may render a salute with the left hand.
Yes it can be, but only if Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon chooses not to negate the effect (BESD can choose to negate any effect that targets it, and could do so in this case).
Click on the star, on the left hand side of your toolbar or click on your penguin. Your penguin will have a blue circle around it.
No. If a card effect would cause a Synchro Monster to be returned to the Deck or the hand, it is placed back in the Extra Deck instead.
