Smoking is not encouraged by the military due to its negative health effects.

It is not permitted while on duty. (smoking around explosives is a really bad idea...)

However the army does allow for smoking while off duty.

The ARMY allows smoking on and off duty and they still have smoke em if you've gottem in formation moments. We ran PT smoking cigs just to show how BADARSE we are............ The military once Owebama is gone and his anti-smoking hacks in the pentagon will be back to smoking in the offices and everywhere again, well they still do just depends on where your at!
