Antibodies are part of the body's immune response to foreign bodies, or antigens. A foreign body can be anything from cat dander to a flu virus. For every antigen, there is a unique antibody, or immunoglobulin, that has a site to bind to a specific antigen, which is why flu shots and other inoculations can work--once the immune system recognizes the bacteria or virus and creates an antibody, it remembers how to make those antibodies and can thus quarantine the pathogens and destroy them before they can spread and infect the body.

Thus, without exposure to a herpes virus, either I or II, there would not be an appreciative amount of antibodies specific to herpes, or herpes antibodies, as the question phrases it. However, everyone has some of these antibodies, since the process of developing specific antibodies involves random mutations of genetic information to deduce what is needed to bind to the specific antigen. For clinical and diagnosing purposes, there exists is a cut-off point that determines if you have herpes or not.

If you want to see what your antibody level is, there is a really neat site that has some great information as well as some testing options. For Herpes I, or Oral Herpes or HSV 1, check out the first link in related links. For Herpes II, or Genital Herpes or HSV 2, check out the second link.

No nothing kills herpes. Antibodies are what is found on a blood test. If you happen to have herpes you will most likely have antibodies of herpes in your blood. The number of antibodies that you have can lead to a positive or negative result.

If the blood test shows negative for the antibodies, it is not likely the test is a false negative; but it is possible.

Yes; if the antibodies are present, the disease is in the body.

It's a pleasure for me to write this testimony about how I got my Hpv cured a year ago. i have been reading so many comments of some people who were cured from various diseases by Dr Osagie but i never believed them. I was hurt and depressed so I was too curious and wanted to try Dr Osagie then i contacted him through his email when i contacted him, he assured me 100% that he will heal me, i pleaded with him to help me out. My treatment was a great success, he healed me just as he promise. he sent me his medication and he also gave me the instructions on how to take the herbs and I took the medicine for 3 weeks and 4 days of taking the medication. I agreed with him. I took this medication and went for a check up. To my greatest surprise my result was negative after the treatment. I am really happy that i am cured and healthy again. I have waited for 7 days to be very sure I was completely healed before writing this testimony. I did another test one week ago and it was still negative. So i guess it's time i recommend anyone going through Diabetes Herpes HSV-1 or HSV-2, HIV, HPV, Hepatitis B, Cancer add him on whatsApp +2348160530032 his emails address drosagieherbalcentre627gmail com.

How do you treat herpes antibody?

It's not something you can treat. The antibodies are the reaction of your immune system to the herpes infection. The herpes virus however, will never leave the body because it hides in the nerves, where the immune system can not atttack it. Once herpes, always herpes unfortunately

Should you get a flu shot when you have bell's palsy?

It won't hurt; the flu vaccine is non-virulent and won't lower your immune system while it makes antibodies to the influenza virus. It will still be able to fight off the Bell's Palsy virus (herpes).

Do mothers transfer flu through lactating?

No, but they can transfer antibodies they developed from having had the flu or from a vaccination. Breastfeeding is an important part of providing protection to an infant with an undeveloped immune system by giving the antibodies by way of the milk.

How does our immune system fight herpes?

Your immune system fights herpes by using laser beams to deflect the herpes from attacking your immune system. They then take out riot shields and M16's to shoot/scare them off. That should tell those herpes to stay away from your immune system!

Is myasthenia gravis caused by herpes?

Myasthenia Gravis is an autoimmune disease of the neuromuscular system that is characterized by high plasma levels of acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibodies, which invoke an immune response against these receptors. Production of these antibodies are caused by molecular mimicry of a self antigen. T-helper cells, a type of immune system cells, can come across antigen presenting cells that display an antigen that is similar, in sequence, to AChR's. The T-helper cells are activated in this manner and can cause an immune response (antibody production) against AChR's. In essence, the Herpes virus is known to have a similar sequence to AChR's, therefore, the existance of the Herpes virus increases the risk of Myasthenia Gravis development.
