You can't use Internet explorer, try Mozilla firefox
You either have one or two things set incorrectly. Either you didn't check "Keep me logged in" in Gmail, or you have cookies disabled in Firefox.
Yes you can use your old email I made a gmail and I can still use my AOL account (not that I do much)
I would try disabling some addons you may have installed. Gmail works perfectly fine with a clean Firefox install, so it's probably a third-party problem.
Incompatibility, until Gmail or Firefox find the offending code. LOL
First, install Firefox. Better Gmail 2 only works with Fx, although some of the scripts have been written to work with Internet Explorer (like Folders4Gmail - http://arend-von-reinersdorff.com/folders4gmail/ ). Then go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6076 and install BG2. Restart Firefox when prompted. In Firefox, go to Menu/Tools/Add-ons and scroll to Better Gmail 2. Click Options and select the features you want to enable. If you need help, click the Help tab, then the blue link for the particular script you're working with.
Go to settings, labs, make sure "Offline" is enabled (it should be the first one), and save changes. Gmail should restart, and next to settings, there should be an "Offline" button, along with a green vial (which symbolizes labs). Click "Offline", and if you are using Google Chrome, you can add a shortcut to your Gmail on the desktop. (This may also work with Internet Explorer and Firefox on Windows, and Safari and Firefox on Macs, if you install Google Gears).
GMail is always free, including on Droid phones. You still must subscribe to a data plan to efficiently use web applications like GMail.
Use Gmail notifier
Yes. Though Firefox is far more secure from breaches than Internet Explorer, it is still possible. Firefox also cannot protect you if you get a virus through someother method, such as through AIM or BitTorrent.
nope any firefox is grand :)
Yes, you can use gmail on the iPad.
