Each cable has a purpose, so you need to make sure both items are connected to the battery with a heavy enough cable to carry the current. you can run the cable to one item and run another cable to the other item, but every connection is a possible place to loose connection so the less connectors at each point is best.

How do you run battery cables through he firewall of a 2002 impala?

You will need to drill a hole large enough for the cable being very careful not to damage anything on the other side of the firewall. You will need to purchase a rubber grommet to insert into the hole and then run the cable through to protect the cable. You only need to run one cable, as you can ground the negative cable near the battery. Why are you running a battery cable through the firewall in the first place?

There should be 2 large terminals on your starter, with one already having a small cable running to the inside of the casing. The battery cable connects to the other (opposite) one.

The fusible links on my '89 Z24 are located at the starter solenoid where the end of the positive battery cable attaches to the large terminal. There may be a fusible link near the positive battery cable in the 10 gauge wire (not the heavy gauge one). Good luck.

How do you change the starter selenoid on Riding lawn mower?

It is rather easy to change once you locate it. The positive cable goes from the battery to the solenoid. There will be two large posts on the solenoid and one or two smaller posts on the solenoid. Just remove the wires and put them back on the new one in the same location. Make sure you remove one of the battery cables from the battery before you start so you don't short anything out. Once your done make the last thing hooking that cable back to the battery.

Which is the positive and which is the negative terminal on a 01 jeep grand cherokee battery?

On the battery its the post that has a minus sign next to it and the leads from the battery will typically be black instead of red. Another thing to do is to go to your local auto parts store and ask them to show you. They will get a kick out of doing so and you'll not have to ask again.

How do you replace a positive battery cable on a 2000 Chevy blazer and where can you obtain the cable other than the dealer?

You Will Need To Get The Cable From A Dealer. If The Cable Is Burned Into Ect. It Will Need To Be Replaced. If The Cable End Is Bad You Can Try This. Purchase a New Cable End. Yours Probably Has Two Smaller Cables In The Wire Also Besides The Regular One. On The Cable End You Get Also Get One Or Two ( as needed ) Heavy Duty Cable Eyletts That Fit The Bolts That Tighten The Large Cable To The Terminal End. Put The Small Cables On each Side Of The Bolts That Clamp This Down, Tighten It All Down. Should Work OK. I Have Done This Often. If You Do It This Way. You Will Need To Check These Connections Every 3 Months Or So To Be Sure They Are OK.

How do you open trunk in 525i BMW when your out of battery?

You need power to open it, so you'll need another bettery and jump leads. Open the bonnet (US: hood) and look for the large connector marked with a "+" sign. Connect the positive lead to taht and the negative to the chassis (any clean connection). You can now use the normal opening method. You can unlock the doors manually if you turn the key far enough. You can then open the hood and provide power to the vehicle with jumper cables and a donor car. If all else fails you can jack the vehicle up, support it on a jack-stand, and attach a red jumper cable to the starter positive red cable where it connects to the starter and then attach black cable to any metal place on the engine. You can use this procedure to charge the battery with either a battery charger for jumper cables from a donor vehicle.
