If I remember there are some fuses in the side of the dash on the passenger side, open the door and remove the panel to show fuses and one of them is the cigarette lighter.
the most common problem with this is that the customer has the dimmer turned down (located below the headlight switch)
as far as i can remember both these items run off the same fuse, check the fuses to see if any have blown , robb

Vauxhall Corsa fuse numbers can be seen on the fuse box. The underside of the fuse box will have a diagram explaining each slot and what fuse goes where.
