Yes, but the computers, wiring, hoses, sensors, accessories all also have to be swapped.
This swap is possible, although it won't be a straight "plug and play" application.
Not without major modifications.
The Hemi requires different wiring, computers, (including abs and its sensors), ac lines, ............ It is possible, but it would be easier and cheaper to by a 2003 truck with a hemi.
Not without swapping the transmission, computer, wiring, plumbing, etc.
Sure, I would!
Check dakota-durango for a number of threads with such swaps. http://www.dakota-durango.com/forum/showpost.php?p=579028&postcount=1
To change your Durango's tail light, first make sure to have a flat head screw driver and a new bulb. You will then open your trunk and remove the screws to the tail light, swap out the bulbs and replace the housing case.
Not an easy swap. You will need the engine, trans, computers, wiring, radiator, abs sensors, brake light switch, accel pedal switch,....... out of the 2004 to get the engine to even run.
Yes
Wife Swap - 2004 was released on: USA: September 2004
Obviously a 5.7 Hemi, a trans for the Hemi, wire harness and computers for the Hemi, Additional abs sensors for the Hemi, Some possible frame modifications for the mounts. You would basically need a donor truck, and have to swap everything under the hood, and you would stil have computer issues. The engine computer on the Hemi requires front abs sensors. The Dakota normally doesnt have 4 wheel abs. A large percentage of Hemi trucks also have the anti theft (chipped) key. You would possibly have to install that system too. Basically, more work than it is worth.
