All you need is to know is......Pull dash!
GET COMPLETE WIRING HARNESS THROUGH FIRE WALL ON LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE.
GET COMPLETE FUAL TANK OUT OF FI AND WIRING HARNESS WITH FUEL SENDING UNIT, its the computer looking deal located under the seat area. make sure to have all uncut harnesses.
You will need to change everything!!!!!!!

take of factory fuel pump and get blocking plate found on stock FI mazdas. that's a good start for you. everyhting bolts right up its the wiring that willl eat you alive. If your interested i have a complete system for sale ready to be added. let me know

A 1989 Dakota has throttle body fuel injection.
The 1989 Chevy Caprice 305 V8 does not have a carburetor. It is equipped with Throttle Body Fuel Injection which may look like a carburetor but is not.
from 1987 to 2000 the fuel supply to these wonderful vehicles is a rochester throttle body fuel injection not a carburetor

Are you certain you have a carburetor? 74% of the Caprices that year used TBI or throttle body injection. Check the VIN code, 8th digit for a "E", the most common engine, a 305. As long as it is not a "Y", or 307, you have injection.
