Yes. You can actually take up to 40mg a day. I was on 30mg/daily for about 5 months. It made me gain a ton of weight, but it helped tremendously.

∙ 14y agoI know of many people who have taken these drugs together without serious (if any) repercussions, however, everyone reacts differently. The mixing of drugs, such as an antidepressant like Wellbutrin and an amphetamine (Adderall) is strongly discouraged across the medical community and the combination will result in effects similar to speedballing. Said effects increase relative to quantity consumed and the time period in which they are consumed, and of course the usual things like body weight, gender, and tolerance.

∙ 11y agoI mistook my sons Lexapro for my nightime med and took two (20mg) tablets. I have never taken an antidepressant and was scared to death. My husband (who happens to be a doctor) said I would probably feel sick but would be o.k. so I went to sleep finally. the next morning, I was so nauseated I couldn't get out of bed. I was nauseated and jittery for two days. But then it was over and I lived to tell.

Yes this is very normal. Usually when adderall is wearing off it can result in headache, mood swings, loss of appetite. and sleepiness just to name a few.

How can you make Adderall last longer?
If taken orally, absorption increases with GI tract pH. So, consuming alkaline foods or chemicals will increase Adderall's absorption into systemic circulation. I would try eating some baking soda or calcium carbonate (Tums, Rolaids) 40-80 minutes before ingesting Adderall. Caffine can also potentiate the effects of the drug, due to both caffeine's mechanism of action and the fact that both caffeine and amphetamine are metabolized by the same CYP iso-enzyme in the liver. However, caffeine's diuretic effect could potentially increase the excretion of the Adderall, soI usually just eat like 4 tums 40-80 minutes before I eat any Adderall and I find that it potentiates its effects.
