Can I take Aleve with 800 mg of ibuprofen for my Back pain?

i don't know but i just did on an empty stomach

i guess we will find out what happens..............

VERY BAD IDEA. aleve & ibuprifen belong to the same class of drugs-NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). if you are taking the maximun dose of each drug you are essentially "overdosing". these drugs carry the risk of causing gastointestinal bleeding, so you'd be upping ante on this.

Nothing will physically stop you, but Advil (Ibuprofen) and Aleve (Naproxen Sodium) are both anti-inflammatory NSAIDs. Too many of them can lead to disruption of the lining of the stomach and can cause pain/bleeding of the stomach. More so, it's recommended to take Aleve if for the purpose of something chronic (since it's traditionally a 12-hour active drug) versus Advil since it is a shorter duration (taking 1 to 2 tablets every 4-6 hours). Advice would be to pick either one and not to double up on the drug (otherwise, you can risk hurting yourself). However, don't confuse them with acetaminophen (Tylenol)- that's the drug that CAN seriously effect someone's liver.
it depends how long ago u took aleve because if you take them 1 after another most likely it'll be an overdose because ibuprofen is very strong and if your thinking it'll make you'll heal faster you thought wrong so i suggest just to take 1
Doctors do not recommend for patients to take two Anti-Inflammatories at the same time. Use one or the other. They are both make to provide the same action. So it would just be a waste of time to take then in conjunction of one another. Now if you would Ike to know which of the two would provide better relief, Aleve would be the way to go.

Yes, you can take naproxen (aleve / Naprosyn) with Tylenol (acetaminophen). There is no interaction between those 2 drugs.

Can you take Aleve and midol?

I would recommend against taking midol and aleve together if on the active ingredients listed includes either naproxen or ibuprofen. This is because naproxen is the same drug as aleve and ibuprofen works in a similar fashion as naproxen. Taking aleve with either of these two ingredients in your midol may produce an overdose.

Can aleve be taken with cold medicine?

ibuprofen

Does Aleve contain Ibuprofen?

NO. ALEVE does not contain ibuprofen. ALEVE should not be taken with ibuprofen or any other pain reliever, unless your doctor has instructed you to do so. Do not take ALEVE if you have had either hives, facial swelling, asthma, or shock after taking any pain reliever/fever reducer. You may have a serious reaction. ALEVE contains naproxen sodium, 220 mg. ALEVE contains 200 mg of naproxen and 20 mg of sodium (salt) to help your body absorb ALEVE more quickly. It helps you feel pain relief faster than with naproxen alone.

Can you take Aleve and Aspirin 6 hours apart?

You should wait at least 6 hours after naproxen if you want to take ibuprofen or any other anti-inflammatory drug... The mechanism of action is the same... you won't get any additional benefit by taking ibuprofen before that 6 hours. You'll only have more side effects.
