Can you take Penicillin and Ibuprofen at the same time?

Obviously you should always confirm with your doctor, dentist,

pharmacist first. Under normal circumstances Ibuprofen shouldn't be

a problem, since it is not a blood thinner (as is acetomenophine).

The problem researchers, scientists and doctors have tried to fight

throughout the years is how to keep penicillin in your blood stream

as long as possible. Penicillin V potassium doesn't get urinated as

easily as its predecessors, hence the common twice a day dose.

Anything that would be considered a diuretic might also negativley

affect penicillin, such as caffeine and alcohol, by increasing

urination.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. ;-)

actually, ibuprofen is the blood thinner and acetaminophen is

not.
