I was a medical Assistant for several years and I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 2 and have spent much time at the doctors office due to various reasons including ear infections, coughs and colds, strep throat etc... and my children are now adults and obviously I still "care for" them when they are ill (they'll always be my babies :) On numerous occasions we have been instructed to alternate ibuprofen and Tylenol at the same time.....taking the ibuprofen every 6 hours and the Tylenol (even T3's) every 4 hours. This is safe because, although both medicines are pain relievers, they each contain a different medication that works in a different way. I hope this helps.
Yes. advil is ibuprofen a different drug than Tylenol which is acetaminophen.
Dilaudid (hydromorphone) is a strong opiate that does not contain Tylenol (acetaminophen). Therefore, you should be able to take it with Tylenol. However, medications that already contain acetaminophen (such as Vicodin, Percocet, and Norco) should NOT be taken with Tylenol. The reason for this is because an overdose of Tylenol can very likely cause damage to the liver.
You drop advil in a cup of water and advil in a cup of water then wait to see which pill begins to disolve. Tylenol disolved in about 5-7 minutes while advil took 10-12
Check in with your doctor or pharmacist. You took 1000 mg of Tylenol and the bottle recommends waiting 6 hours; and no more than 6 tablets within 24 hours.
Advil don't prevent pregnancy no matter how many you take.
6 to 8 hours. Percocet is much stronger than Tylenol. Do not take them too close together because of drowsiness and such. You won't overdose but you may get a bit sick.
You should not mix painkillers without consulting the physician who prescribed the hydrocodone to you.
2 hours
no take 4 more tylenols and then drink 10 beers time to get messed up!
no, unless you want to have your stomach pumped
Seroquel is NOT a maoi, you can take Tylenol without any problem.
Follow the directions on the bottle. If in doubt, talk to your doctor. Tylenol is acetaminophen and can cause liver damage if you combine it with other acetaminophen products (and exceed daily recommended limits). This includes cough syrup, etc. Read all labels carefully. yes, there aren't any interactions. both are pain relievers but they work in different ways.
Drinking alcoholic beverages with medication is not advised. There is a risk in drinking beer with Advil, depending on the condition and health of your liver. I would avoid the beers if you just took Advil.
