I just had some bones fused in my foot. (Subtalor Arthrodesis).
And I checked with my Doctor and my pharmacy which I urge you to do also, for total peace of mind.
Yes you can take them together or what I was doing was the ibuprofen every two hours and the percocet every 4 to 6 hours as needed for the really severe pain.
The ibuprofen seemed to extend the pain killing peak of the percocet while effectivly managing the swelling under the compression bandage\cast.
Doseage was 8oomg Ibuprofen every 6 hours slipped in between the doseage times for the percocet. But I found what worked better was 4oomg every 2 to 4 hours as needed in addition to the percocet. It's working well to manage pain and swelling as well.
Generally yes, athough you shouldn't need to. The ibuprofen will supply more relief of inflammation. And the percocet will provide more pain relief from its narcotic and analgesic ingredients. but, they are not commonly prescribed together. If you received the prescriptions at different times, or are considering taking over the counter ibuprofen, you should ask your health care provider first.
Of course you can. I'm in the military and I just got my wisdom teeth removed and ibuprofen 800 mg along with percocet were both prescribed to me.
Yes. Percocet, much like hydro/oxycodone, contains tylenol. Ibuprofen is an entirely different drug than tylenol, and these are safe to take together. What you want to watch out for is taking too much tylenol.
Consult your doctor for more exact advice.
Percocet contains paracetamol which is the active ingredient in Tylenol. You shouldn't take more than 4000mg of Tylenol per day. Not all percocet has the same amount of Tylenol in them, so you need to find out (just Google whatever the pill has imprinted on it if you don't know). For example, the percocet I had after my wisdom teeth were removed was 7.5/500 meaning that it has 7.5mg of oxycodone and 500 mg of Tylenol.. Just be sure not to go over 4 grams of Tylenol. I'm not sure about taking it with ibuprofen.
Yes. Ibuprofen can actually be mixed with Tylenol and aspirin and every naproxen sodium (Aleve) as it is an anti-inflamitory and my Doctor has even recommended that when I feel the cold/flu coming on to take 2 extra strength Tylenol and one ibuprofen to help. It can help with body aches and such, but it is not a pain reliever that is why you can mix the above mentioned medications.
Yes, there is no problem in taking those 2 medications together. Both are different painkillers.
Ibuprofen, yes. Tylenol, no.
Vicodin already contains acetaminophen (the active ingredient in Tylenol)
Over dose of acetaminophen can cause liver problems.
can i take arthrotec and percocet together
sure
While Percoset and Ibuprofen have no interaction (meaning you can take them together), it is not advised, as the combination is quite hard on the stomach lining. A good way to avoid this is to not take them together, but if you have to, do it with food.
You will die.
You can, but the percocet might take the edge off the Viagra. Prioritize.
Yes, this would be OK. Remember that Percocet is very addictive. Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed and don't take extra. Don't take other pain medicine on top of this.
Yes, if both drugs are required and prescribed for you. Etodolac is an anti-inflammatory / painkiller drug and Percocet is a painkiller (acetaminophen + narcotic).
you probably shouldn't because they both have Tylenol and you should take only so much of Tylenol you could mess up your liver.
Yes, I was just prescribed both at once by my doctor.
please see the related link below for information on drug interactions.
6 to 8 hours. Percocet is much stronger than Tylenol. Do not take them too close together because of drowsiness and such. You won't overdose but you may get a bit sick.
Definately do not take the two together! You can take ultram and later in the day a percocet if needed but be sure to give enough time in between. Any questions about the medications, ask your doctor or pharmcist!
