There's no way to tell you how much a trumpet is worth without seeing it in person... The value of a trumpet doesn't just depend on what brand it is. It depends on age, condition, playability, among other things.

A bass trumpet sounds in the register of a baritone, exactly one octave below that of a normal b-flat trumpet. The bore size (diameter of the tubing) of the bass trumpet is considerably greater than that of a normal b-flat trumpet, and the bell size and slide length will all be similarly increased. The mouthpiece of the Bass Trumpet also resembles a Trombone/Baritone mouthpiece.

You can go onto google images and see for yourself what a bass trumpet looks like. It is generally a larger instrument than the trumpet with a larger bore.
basically just tell him straight and ask him for more freedom and if he doesnt go along with it, then your buggered! :)
It's generally impossible to tell the make of a trumpet given only the serial number. Manufacturers each use their own system of numbering, so you need some more information in order to identify your trumpet. If you cannot find some identifying markings on the bell of the trumpet, your best bet is to take it to a repair shop (or some other instrument professional) for identification.
You really should be more specific...How you fix it depends on how you broke it. For about 95% of repairs, you should take your trumpet to your local instrument repair shop. They have all the tools and parts to fix it correctly.Without saying what's broken on it, there's now way to tell you how to fix it...
