My 5 yr. old nephew tested positive after walking into the bathroom where his crack addicted mother had been smoking large quantities of crack. So, yes you can test positive just by being in an enclosed room or coming in directly afterward.

∙ 14y agoIf the room happened to be a two foot by two foot enclosure and two people smoked for a consecutive hour, than maybe. But in order to pass positive for marijuana from other people smoking around you, you would have to be willing to get high.

The infant will probably get a contact high, but Marijuana is not physically addictive, so the child, or anyone for that matter, becoming addicted is impossible. Regardless, it's not a good idea, and highly morally questionable.
How will you know when someone enters your room?
If you cut out a small piece of paper and stand on a chair next to your door and place the 3cm - 4cm piece of paper on the top of the door crack, close the door gently but not fully. When or if someone comes in your room they will open the door and the piece of paper will fall to the ground silently and the trespasser won't even know. Sneaky huh??? When you come back to your room if someone has been in then you will have the piece of paper on the ground!!! Thnx xxx or set up a series or hidden cameras, or take a picture of your room before you left it and then when you go back take another picture and compare the two.
