Need more info, manual steering gear box, power steering gear box, 3 speed standard transmission box, or 4 speed transmission box? The truck has a 3 speed manual transmission and power steering gear box thanks The steering gear box will interchange.
u can take out the play in the wheel threw the steering box
If your referring to having loose steering, then you need to tighten the adjustment set screw on the steering box under the hood. Don't tighten this to much, or it will lock up the gears. Typically a loose box needs to be replaced, in very few cases will tightening the set screw actually help.

The adjustment is on top of the steering box. Loosen the locking nut then tighten the bolt lightly. Over tightening will cause the box to be too tight.
Need to know the exact model and configuration in order to answer this. A 26k GVW box truck and a 33K dump truck aren't going to have the same tare weight.
On the top of the steering box is a bolt with a slot in the top. Loosen the locking nut, then tighten the bolt snug using a screwdriver. Back the nut off 1/4 turn, then tighten the locking nut. You may have to make small adjustments to get the box operating at its maximum smoothness.
