The obvious answer is sanded grout has sand. But the in depth answer has many differences. Sanded grout which is the most common, can be used in a grout joint from 1/8" to 1/2" (and larger but check the grout). Sanded grout scratches many tile like glass. Non sanded grout can only be used on joints 1/8" or less. Non sanded grout is typically seen on marble and granite tile, many wall tile, and all glass tile.
You can drill through tile, but doing so would most likely crack and break the entire tile. It is not recommended to drill through a tile, unless it is a soft tile, where the tile will not break if drilled through.

Tile and glass technically does not "sweat", however... Many people misunderstand that process and believe that the tile (or glass) is sweating.

Glass tile is more expensive than ceramic or porcelain. Glass scratches easier and the others. During installation, you use grout that does not contain sand because the sand scratches the glass during installation. If you are using it in a spa, the sanded grout is a nice added measure of safety that you wouldn't have with glass. It can also be a bit trickier to install because you can sometimes see through the installed tile to the wall and adhesive behind the tile. Glass is very beautiful when installed correctly and in the proper application.
Tile is a building material you can use in commercial and residential use. There are certain kinds of tile you can use and they can be installed indoors and outdoors. You can choose between ceramic tile, porcelain tile, glass tile, slate, natural stone tile, and other types.
