This requires special modification of the car.
It will be cheaper to by a car haul trailer to put it on.
If you really want to do this, your local Motor Home dealer will be able to advise you and quote doing the modification.
can you toe a 2001 honda civic DX behind a motoe home. it has an automatic transmission
No and I could be wrong on this but if it is a true automatic transmission and not the DSG, you have to disconnect the drive wheels from the transmission like with every other car sold with a automatic.
Transmission in Park, Transfer case in neutral.
If the car has an automatic transmission (like all g20's I think), you will need a car dolly that picks the front 2 wheels off the ground.
Neither the manual or the automatic transmission models are designed to tow with all four wheels on the ground. You will have to get a trailer or the Remco driveshaft kit in order to do what you are trying to do.
If you have a manual transmission, all you have to do to flat tow it is put it into neutral. If it's a 4x4 and you have a manual transfer case, you can manage by putting the transfer case in neutral, whether it has an automatic or manual transmission. If it's a 2WD with an automatic, or a 4x4 with both an automatic transmission and an electronic transfer case with no neutral position, you'll need a trailer or else you'll need to remove either the driveshafts or axle shafts.
Yes it can the transmission is geared in such a way that neutral flat towing is possible.
Can we tow are 2002 chevy impala behind our Motorhome
Should be Ok, check towing capacity against GVW to be sure, stay well below the limit. Also check with the dealer if the Escape has an automatic transmission, damage can result from towing if not done properly.
Park in the transmission and neutral setting on your 4wd shift lever. If the transfer case does not have a neutral position, it can't be towed four wheels down.
The automatic transmission behind the Cummins engine in a Ram 2500 is a Chrysler transmission. Depending on the year it could be a 47rh, 47re, 48re, or a 68rfe.
The question is if the transmission is a standard or an automatic, if it is a standard then the transmission is located directly behind the bell housing which is bolted onto the rear of the engine, if it is an automatic then the transmission is bolted directly to the rear of the engine
